Curious to know what all the hub-bub is about? Come on down! Spectators are welcome. Guarantee you will have as much fun watching as the guys shooting!
We have a stack of AMAZING prizes to giveaway – including some brand new precision gear from Aussie firearms manufacturers MANAEL.
MANAEL will also be unveiling a new product (keeping in tradition with Ignition Custom Monarto Meltdowns). We’ve had a play with the new product and its going to knock your socks off!!!
Plus we’re giving away merch and the usual cool gear like gunsmithing prizes and vouchers.
We’ve been involved with Precision Rifle Series since its grass roots in Australia in 2016. So proud of all the work to grow the sport to where it is today. And super psyched to be hosting the VERY FIRST MATCH OF 2022!!!
The Ignition Custom Monarto Meltdown was hosted April 9-11 at our home range SSAA Precision Shooting Club at Monarto. Its the largest precision and practical club in Australia. And super excitingly, the Ignition Custom Monarto Meltdown was the largest PRS match held in Australia to date!
Stages were designed by Match Director and all around top bloke Travie Harris with some fun challenges for new and experienced shooters.
We may be biased, but the Ignition Custom MonartoMeltdown is one of the best opportunities on the PRS Calender to come alongside some of the country’s top shooters and experience precision shooting at its best. Its friendly, fun and everyone is happy to share gear, tips and support so every shooter can achieve their potential.
The Ignition Custom Monarto Meltdown marked the end to a long shooting drought for many in 2020 (not a single PRS Match, thanks Covid!). In response, everyone brought their A-Game (well, at least a C-game….some of us didn’t get to practice much last year, alright!!!????).
Many shooters were hungry to the range, smash steel and spend time with mates. But the big prize table was also an incentive and featured including gear, services and merchandice from Aussie firearm manufacturers MANAEL & Australia’s leading PRS gunsmiths Ignition Custom Engineering.
Monarto has consistent weather. Which is best described as “inconsistent”. The Ignition Custom Monarto Meltdown was no exception.
Friday was hot, dry and dusty. Saturday was a confusing combination of dusty and gusty winds, with sporadic icy showers that had us all reaching for our Ignition Custom Engineering Hoodies! The gusty winds continued and strengthened through Sunday but at least it didn’t rain.
After the first day of competition, everyone retires to the clubroom for a hearty meal and general the shenanigans you can expect from Ignition Custom and the PRS crew. Apart from the shooting and on-stage banter, this is one of our favorite times of the weekend.
Final Results Ignition Custom Monarto Meltdown – Precision Rifle SEries Australia 2021
Competition was fierce and very close
The determination was palpitable between top performing shooters, with Butters of Northern Territory Practical Rifle, Lukas M and Ash P sparring over the top position.
Butters cinched it with a stellar performance. But the win wasn’t made easy with Lukas M closing in behind.
When the final points landed, Lukas claimed second position.
Third place went to Ash P, who is consistent and clean in his performance, and certainly kept both Lukas and Butters looking over their shoulder!
Great performance from all competitors. Congrats also to the first place getters in the Marksman, Semi-Pro and Production categories.
The 2019 Ignition Custom Winter Classic Precision Rifle Series Australia match is done and dusted for another year.
Yes, that pun was intended. Dust the biggest challenge of the day. But plenty of fun! Close competition and surprise stages. Read more for full review including winners.
The Ignition Custom Engineering team will return to the Mid North region next weekend to host Ask A Gunsmith at the Jamestown Show on Sun Oct 1 and Mon Oct 2. We are also proudly sponsoring the Young Farmers Challenge. So come on down, say G'day and grab a stubby cooler or sticker for the gun safe.
What happens when four farming mates gather on the main oval at the show, armed with a stack of hay bales and fencing wire?
Find out at the Young Farmers Challenge event which returns for its second year at the 2017 Jamestown Show this weekend, sponsored by Ignition Custom Engineering.
